April showers bring May flowers, and while we’re not too keen on rainy days, we realize this water has done wonders for all of the new publishers that have sprouted up in the past 30 days. Like a romantic, Little House on the Prarie-esque stroll through a garden newly in bloom, we’ve hand-picked this colorful bouquet just for you:

Barry Eisler
It may come as no surprise that author of chart-topping political thrillers Barry Eisler spent three years working for the CIA’s Directorate of Operations. Churning out one nail-biter after the next, he’s recently become somewhat infamous as the man who turned down a $500,000 deal with St. Martin’s Press in a pursuit to self-publish. While many writers would consider a six figure contract a dream come true, we’re pretty sure Barry’s words are priceless.

BOOM! Studios
We can’t get enough of onomatopoeias, which is part of the reason we’re so excited to announce one of our newest comic book publishers BOOM! Studios. From the beloved Peanuts series, to the more obscure titles like Planet of the Apes and Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, BOOM! Studios pack punches better than a spinach-filled Popeye. POW!

SRS Internet Publishing
From tantalizing tough guys to flirtatious femme fatales, it doesn’t get much juicer than the pulp being squeezed out at SRS Internet Publishing. In a joint venture with Gate Way Publishing, SRS’s imprint Digital Vintage Pulps is brimming with buff beaus and bodacious bombshells, hot enough to light a fire under your corncob pipe.

Though TV and video games are usually not considered enriching, the brains at Titan Publishing Group are proving that pop culture doesn’t have to be mind-numbing. With a name that conjures up images of dancing moo-moo’s frolicking with terrycloth robes in the pale moonlight, the books from Pajama Publishing are even more adorable than the company name itself.
