The Dakota College at Bottineau “Lumberjacks and Ladyjacks” received their nickname based on the school’s origin in 1906 as the North Dakota School of Forestry.
Salt Lake City Public Library (Utah)

The City Library’s newly redesigned website promotes their many library services with quotes such as, “Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read” – Groucho Marx.
West Texas Digital Consortium (Texas)

Midland County Public Library is the first member of the new West Texas Digital Consortium. Midland, Texas, is perhaps best known as the hometown of former U.S. President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush.
Beaver County Library System (Pennsylvania)

Beaver County Library System is currently hosting a survey asking for patron feedback about their experiences with eBooks and audiobooks and what kind of digital content they would like to see added in the future. Hosting a patron survey is a great way to boost user involvement and help strengthen a Digital Collection.
Stonington Free Library (Connecticut)

Former Library Secretary Taliaferro “Boat” Boatwright compiled a library history tracing the origins of the Stonington Free Library back to 1887. Today, Stonington Free Library is the “Home Town Library” for all of Stonington, including the villages of Mystic and Pawcatuck.
Washington County Library (Minnesota)

Washington County users can load their favorite eBook onto an eBook Reader and head outdoors to one of the beautiful local parks, including St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park which includes a nationally-recognized wild and scenic river route.
Gazi University (Turkey)

Gazi University provides students with a variety of English language materials, ranging from eBook “how-to” guides, classic fiction audiobooks, and select music and video titles, including action films like Bail Out starring David Hasselhoff.
Belvedere-Tiburon Library (California)

This San Francisco Bay Area library, located just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, is a shared resource for residents of both Belvedere and Tiburon, California. Fun fact: Tiburon was the first town in the nation to eliminate trans-fats from all its restaurants in 2004.
Waco-McLennan County Library (Texas)

For the past several years, Waco-McLennan County Library has teamed up with the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce for a program called One Book, One Waco. One Book, One Waco aims to bring together the Waco community to promote reading and open dialogue. A recent selection, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, is now available as an audiobook on the Waco-McLennan County Digital Media Downloads site.
Big Country Library System (Texas)

The Big Country Digital Library consortium currently has four member libraries: Coleman Public Library, Reagan County Library, Sweetwater County-City Library, and Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library. This Texas consortium offers audiobooks, eBooks, and popular music titles from Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry.
Red Deer Public Library (Canada)

Red Deer Public Library is connecting teens with reading at an upcoming event where they will host their own “Hunger Games,” based on the popular Suzanne Collins series now available as audiobooks in their Digital Library.
South Dakota Digital Consortium (South Dakota)

South Dakota, home to Mount Rushmore, can now also boast the new South Dakota Titles to Go collection, offering eBooks and audiobooks to South Dakota residents from 21 different participating member libraries.
Edinburgh City Libraries (United Kingdom)

Edinburgh City Libraries have a strong online presence, including a Flickr photo account where they display “Mystery Photographs”, unidentified images from local history collections. These black and white photographs allow patrons to participate in solving local mysteries by helping to identify the locations or people in each picture.
Lamar High School (Texas)

Lamar High School is an International Baccalaureate World School whose notable alumni includes singer Kelly Rowland (Destiny’s Child) and Nobel Prize Winner Robert Woodrow Wilson. Lamar students strive to follow the school motto: “VA T’ EN AUX ETOILES” (French for “Reach for the Stars”).
