L.A. Theatre Works, a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, produces classic plays featuring professional narration by some of our favorite actors. The impressive line-up of narrators includes John Lithgow, Anne Heche, Brad Pitt, Hilary Swank and George Clooney, among hundreds more. The L.A. Theater Works audiobook catalog boasts 318 classic plays, including Gore Vidal’s “The Best Man” and Charles Webb’s “The Graduate,” starring Kathleen Turner as Mrs. Robinson and Matthew Rhys as Benjamin Braddock.
The newest addition to the impressive L.A. Theatre Works lineup is Dustin Lance Black’s “8,” a drama that portrays the legal arguments in the Perry vs. Schwarzenegger trial that led to the reversal of California’s Proposition 8. Guest narrators include George Clooney, Rob Reiner and Martin Sheen.
