A few weeks ago, I wrote about preparing your collection for the summer reading season. At the conclusion of that post, I mentioned that we’d soon have a marketing kit available for you to use to help spread that word about your digital collection…Well, I’m happy to announce that the Summer Reading Marketing Kit is now available.
Much like the materials available on our regular marketing kits, the posters and bookmarks you’ll find on the Summer Reading Marketing Kit are ready for print—just edit to add your Library’s URL. As these materials show patrons of all ages, they work for public libraries, schools and colleges alike. Hang up posters around community bulletin boards; drop off some bookmarks at local shops and cafés; pass them out during festivals and fairs. Remember, 50-percent of your users never will step foot in an actual library, so get out and spread the word where your patrons are!
If you’d like additional marketing ideas, sign up for this week’s Community Outreach Training or simply email us at librarypartnerservices@overdrive.com. We’re here to help!
