ReadyTalk App Puts OD Training on iPad

August 14th, 2012

Download the ReadyTalk Mobile to access OverDrive’s upcoming Training Month webinars on the iPad.

With ReadyTalk’s new app, you can join OverDrive’s upcoming Training Month sessions right from your Apple iPad® and snag a front-row seat to our smash hit, Next Generation Digital Library! The app lets you watch the presentation, use the chat feature, respond to polls, and, best of all, you won’t need to dial in using a phone!* Plus, the app incorporates convenient iPad features such as portrait or landscape view and the ability to pinch-to-zoom. Waiting around for the meeting to start? Activate the app’s notifications via “Settings” and return to your multi-tasking—the app will generate a pop-up letting you know when the meeting starts or if you’ve received any messages.

The ReadyTalk app for iPad has received excellent reviews so far, with an average rating of 4.5/5. Visit ReadyTalk’s site for more information on the app and its features, or view the Quick Start Guide.

OverDrive’s Training Month runs September 5-28, with eight live sessions of our Next Generation Digital Library presentation, which spotlights what’s new for your digital library. Registration is limited, so be sure to sign up now!

*Broadcast audio (via headphones/ speakers) will be available for Training Month sessions only. For all other live sessions, you can still use an iPad, but you’ll need to dial in using a phone.

Hi Karen- When you click ‘Join Meeting’ from the confirmation email, it will automatically take you to the meeting as long as the app is already installed. No access code will be necessary. You may see a countdown to the meeting in Safari if the meeting hasn’t started, but you’ll be taken directly there as soon as it starts. Let us know if you’re still having trouble. Best, Mike
