Training Month To Feature Learning Modules

August 31st, 2012

The big show is almost here! Training Month 2012 begins Sept. 5, which makes this tech week, and means I can finally focus on the most important thing: what I’m going to wear!

While we can’t wait to raise the curtain on our “Next Generation Digital Library” live training sessions, we’re also excited to present an all-new curriculum of mix-and-match learning modules—designed for busy staff. Each module focuses on a specific OverDrive topic and runs five to 20 minutes.

Before you get started with the modules, be sure to download a Learning Plan, which will suggest relevant modules and help you track your progress. From the Learning Center’s View Now page, click “Learning Plan.” Here are a few highlights:

  • OverDrive Read
  • OverDrive APIs
  • OverDrive Media Station
  • Test Drive for Libraries
  • Content Reserve Next Generation
  • Top 10 Support Solutions

Some of our live sessions of OverDrive’s Next Generation Digital Library have already filled up, so if you haven’t registered yet, you better get to it! We wouldn’t want you to miss out…

I’ll look forward to meeting you during Training Month. I’m on the live panel, and you’ll hear me in a few of the modules. I hope you like me! (Sally Field, anyone?)

Christina Bernecker is a Training Specialist at OverDrive.

The “view now” link doesn’t work. I tried sending this to the library staff so that they could use the training modules. Please send me a link to the 5-20 minute modules.

    Thanks, Cris Wilson
