We recently hired education-industry veteran Don Fabricant to lead our rapidly growing K-12 eBook service. Don Fabricant—who previously held executive posts at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Eduventures and Thomson Learning—will serve as OverDrive’s General Manager of Education and Chief Sales Officer.
“I want to build on our success in public libraries and optimize our offerings for the school market,” says Fabricant. “School eBooks are an unstoppable trend, and we’re excited to get more students reading with the best eBook-lending platform and the most content from pre-K through high school.”
OverDrive now serves more than 3,500 schools in the U.S. and internationally, and Fabricant plans to develop new products and services that will help primary and secondary schools maximize the value of their digital collections.
