Hi Blaize- Apparently the latest iOS update is causing sporadic problems with OMC. Powering off your device and reinstalling the app should solve the problem. We’ll be launching a new version of OMC for iOS very soon, so stay tuned. Sorry for the inconvenience. just got an ipad 3, usaed to have ipad 1
installed new IOS 5.1
Overdrive now doesn’t work with my library – doesn’t seem to send the library card and pin numbers correctly so the authentication program recognizes them.
the card and pin number still work on my PC so this seems to be Overdrive’s error
Is it a problem with the new IOS?
I have reinstalled Overdrive but bug is not fixed.

Why doesn’t OverDrive have a contact us help link on their website? The new update offers early return of a book, as an option through the delete feature, but when I clicked on delete, the dialog asked if I was sure I wanted to delete the title, but never gave me the oportunity to early return the book. Now that it is deleted, is there still a way to early return it?

Unfortunately, I went to buy the Hobbit and LOTR for my library today and HC seems to have pulled all their Tolkien. Any idea if it’s permanent?

We just ran into the same ‘ebook file expired!’ error here at the library. Check the Date/Time settings. The default time stamp on our ER701 seems to be for the year 2020. If you change the time, date & time zone to match your computer’s settings you should be able to open & read the book once it’s been transferred. Good luck!
