Christians, as well as the world, have witnessed a subtle but sure change as regards the kind of perception some important words provoke. For example, the word 'meek' that portrayed strength of character is now regarded and defined as 'weak'; 'upright' now usually describes a bore and killjoy, a pseudonym for 'upTIGHT'. As a result, being not so sure what some words mean, we are not so sure of the image expected or even the standard to uphold.'Humility' is another example of such a word – a lot of people today literally have no idea what 'being humble' truly means (would you describe an eagle as a humble creature?) Sadly, the case usually seen with many is either no humility, or the even worse kind: false humility, even in the Church. It is this word I have chosen to tackle and, thanks to God's help, clarify using Scripture. This brief book, "A (Short) Study On Humility", can be consumed in one sitting – or at least in one afternoon. As well as rediscovering the roots and origins, a number of questions such as "Is it okay to receive an applause?" and "Does a humble person demand things?" will be addressed in simple terms understandable by all and easy for memorization. At the end, you should have a clear AND PRACTICAL understanding of what God means about being humble and what it requires of you, and more so: you should, hopefully, have a desire for true humility sparked in your heart.
